LIFE AFTER LASIK

For most of our patients, the day after a LASIK vision correction procedure is an unforgettable one. Visual outcomes vary from patient to patient. Most patients are able to achieve clear, functional vision without the need for glasses or contacts. For almost everyone, when you wake up from a good night’s sleep, you will see a major improvement in your vision.

Ninety-nine percent of our clients can drive themselves to their day one post-operative exam with no glasses or contacts. This is roughly a 15-minute exam to confirm that your eyes are healing as expected. Functional vision is normally achieved in a short time and patients return to work quickly.

Obviously, visual outcomes vary from patient to patient. Most patients are able to achieve clear, functional vision without the need for glasses or contacts. To put that into perspective, take a look at these iLASIK statistics:

  • 100% of nearsighted patients and more than 95% of all clinical study patients passed a driving test without glasses or contact lenses
  • 98% of mild to moderate nearsighted patients and almost 75% of all clinical study patients could see 20/20 or better without glasses or contact lenses
  • Four times as many mild to moderately nearsighted participants were very satisfied with their night vision after treatment compared to their night vision before treatment with glasses or contacts
