CustomVue sets a new standard in laser
vision correction, offering Dr. Eisner the ability to more precisely
identify, measure, and correct imperfections in an individual's
eyes. Using WaveScan technology, Dr.
Eisner can capture information 25 times more precisely than with
standard methods used for glasses and contacts. This information
is unique to your eye, just like your fingerprint is a unique characteristic.
The information is transferred directly to the laser, at which
point your individualized treatment will be administered.
Why is this important? The results speak for themselves! In a clinical study completed one year after patients' CustomVue treatment:
100% could pass a driving test
98% could see 20/20 or better
70% could see better than 20/20
In addition, four times as many people were very satisfied with
their night vision after their procedure, as compared to their
night vision before with their glasses or contacts.
CustomVue Individualized Laser Treatment has taken laser vision
correction to a new level through enhanced precision and improved
technology. Most importantly, this means one thing for your result:
better vision.
Standard Laser Vision Correction Enriched with Intralase
Like many other technologies, LASIK has evolved since
its FDA approval in the mid 90's. CustomVue Individualized Laser
Treatment is the most advanced level of correction available, thanks
to these technology changes and advancements. Not everyone, however,
is a candidate for CustomVue. Furthermore, some patients may choose
a level of correction called Standard LASIK. This treatment option
utilizes WaveScan technology pre-operatively to identify precise
prescription measurements. Dr. Eisner will utilize the WaveScan data
in conjunction with his pre-operative exam to design the most appropriate
laser treatment. Standard LASIK is a very successful laser procedure.
It was the first type of correction available, and, until June of
2003, was the only available treatment. It is important to understand
that Standard LASIK is a very successful treatment option and, if
you are not a candidate for CustomVue or if you choose to have a
Standard treatment, you should most definitely expect a great outcome.
